Stephen G. Smith Elected as AARC Delegate

imageStephen G. Smith, MPA, RT, RRT, a faculty member of the SHTM – Respiratory Care Program has been elected by the respiratory care professionals who are active members of the American Association for Respiratory Care in New York State as a delegate to the AARC.

His responsibilities will include attending all meetings of the House of Delegates of the AARC and reporting any activities that have taken place at the House of Delegates meetings to the state affiliated charters.

At the HOD meetings the delegates will be responsible for adopting new rules, regulations, policies and procedures that will deem necessary or appropriate. Delegates, at the direction of their Chartered Affiliate, will be responsible to present proposed amendment changes to the Bylaws committee, provide the Elections Committee with names of qualified members for nomination as Director-at-Large, attend the Annual Business Meeting of the AARC as the representative of the delegate’s Chartered Affiliate and perform other duties of office that may be necessary or required.

The School of Health Technology and Management and the Center for Community Engagement and Leadership Development wish Professor Smith good luck as he assumes these additional duties and responsibilities.
